Company's Linear Tube Technology Drives 73% Increase in LED Product Sales Through Q3 2015 as the Global LED Market Is Poised to Reach $42 Billion by 2019

STAMFORD, CT -- (Marketwired) -- 11/12/15 -- Revolution Lighting Technologies (NASDAQ: RVLT), a leader in advanced LED lighting technology solutions, today commented on its reported increased sales growth and the role of its core LED tube technologies in generating revenue for the Company. The Company recently reported a 73% increase in LED product sales and other through Q3 2015 of $85 million compared to $49 million during the same period in 2014, a $36M revenue increase, driven by the increased sales of its industry-leading line of LED tube technologies, including the launch of its new T5 "Uni-Fit" LED tube.

By 2020, LED lighting will be the most viable energy efficiency opportunity, according to a McKinsey & Company survey, and with linear fluorescent lighting representing 85% of the lighting used within commercial and industrial sectors, totaling 2.2 billion lamps, RVLT is well positioned to capitalize through its market leading line of high efficiency LED tube products and fixtures.   • T5 Uni-Fit Tubes (Ballast Ready): Representing 12% of the fluorescent replacement market place, totaling $1.5B in revenue annually, T5 LED lamps address a significant opportunity for RVLT. The introduction of its ballast ready T5 LED tube provides a market leading plug and play solution, replacing existing T5 fluorescent lamps to improve energy efficiency by 40%. This LED lamp, designed to eliminate rewiring or ballast bypass requirements, provides a leading light output of 123 lumens per watt (efficacy), lamp life of 50,000 hours and is supported by a 10-year warranty.
  • T8 LED Tubes (Single End Power & Ballast Ready): Available in either ballast ready (plug and play) or direct wired options, RVLT's G3 T8 tubes can reduce energy use by more than 60%. Designed with a thermo-plastic heat sink to provide an unparalleled delivered light angle of up to 320 degrees, it maximizes light output of up to 120 lumens per watt (efficacy). Designed in 2', 3', 4' or U-Bent configurations, this product has a market leading lamp life of 70,000 hours and is supported by a 10-year warranty.
  • Linear Revolution High Bay Fixture: Designed for high ceiling applications including industrial facilities, warehouses, or other interior applications to replace conventional fluorescent, metal halide or high pressure sodium low bay or high bay fixtures. Features 4-, 6- or 8-lamp configurations, utilizing our G3 LED tube technology with optional occupancy sensor controls to reduce energy usage by more than 60%. This fixture has a market leading lamp life of 70,000 hours and is supported by a 10-year warranty.
  • Vapor Tight Fixture: Ideal for wet or harsh environments including parking garages, warehouses and industrial facilities, this fixture can reduce energy usage by more than 50% when combined with optional occupancy sensor controls, to provide a glass-free solution for sensitive applications. This fixture has a 50,000 hour lamp life and is supported by a 7-year warranty.

Recent project announcements such as higher education institutions Johnson & Wales and Iona College, public school systems including Parsippany-Troy Hills and New Rochelle, and grocery chain Raley's are a clear indication of the growing adoption of RVLT's linear tube technologies. These achievements are supported by recent designations received including a NSF International (NSF) food safety certification allowing its G3 LED tubes to be installed within food-processing and storage areas, and a Washington Laboratories Certification, enabling its G3 LED tubes to be utilized in US Navy ships and facilities.
